Yogi Adityanath was appointed as the Uttar Pradesh CM on March 18 and he took oath for the same today at the Smriti Upvam, Lucknow in the presence of Governor Ram Naik, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, party President Amit Shah and other senior ministers. Keshav Prasad Maurya and Dinesh Sharma took charge as the Deputy CM of the state and 44 other ministers took oath as the cabinet ministers. After the conclusion of the ceremony, Adityanath while addressing his first press conference as the CM said, ‘We will leave no stone unturned to fulfil the expectations of people of Uttar Pradesh.’
While talking about the government’s impartial work he said, ‘Govt will work for all section of society without any partiality, for this administration will be made accountable and answerable.’ He also talked about corruption, the law and order situation in the state and said, “Bhrashtachar, khraab kanoon vyavastha se yahan ki janta ko nuksaan pahuncha. Humari sarkaar lok kalyan ke liye kaam karegi. (The people in the state are at a loss because of corruption, bad law and order. Our government will for for the development of the people.)” Yogi Adityanath also said that a big faction of state resides in rural areas and that the party is committed to bring ease in the lives of farmers.
However, the newly appointed Chief Minister of UP refused to answer any questions of the media. When a media person tried to ask a question about whether he has any special plan for the development of Purvanchal (Eastern UP), he talked about PM Modi’s ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikaas’ ideology and said, “We are comitted to work as per Prime Minister’s agenda of Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikaas. We are committed fulfill all the promises made by us in our ‘Sankalp Patra’.”
